    Skyway Monte Bianco

Go up two thousand vertical metres in 10 minutes and step out onto the magnificent terrace of Punta Helbronner right in the heart of the Mont Blanc Massif and enjoy a 360° view over the Alps: marvel over a fantastic landscape of seracs and pastel-shaded granite spires stretching from Mont Blanc, standing out at 4,810 metres, to the Dent du Géant. The horizon is a long line of Europe’s famous “4000ers”: the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, Grivola, Gran Paradiso. If you’re looking for descents down breathtaking routes in fresh snow, then head for the fabulous off-piste routes, which start a short distance from the upper cable car station and take you right down to Courmayeur and Chamonix. Try the mythical Vallée Blanche, an exciting 20 km descent on the French side, which follows the imposing Mer de Glace glacier, or head for the Toula glacier. If you like to take things easy, you might prefer the Pavillon du Mont Fréty snowshoeing area, 2,173 m. asl (1st station on the Mont Blanc Cable Car). A walk along the “Footpath of the Giants”. A stunning panoramic summer walk from the Torino Vecchio refuge (3,375 m.) to the Torino Nuovo refuge with its wonderful terrace looking out onto Mont Blanc. Your cable car ride to the Roof of Europe starts in Pontal d'Entrèves (1,300 m.), just outside Courmayeur. It takes just four minutes to get up to the 2,173 m mid-station, Pavillon du Mont Fréty, location of the Nature Oasis where you can see Saussure’s Alpine garden, the highest in Europe. • Terme di Pré Saint Didier

    Terme di Pré Saint Didier

Relax in front of the Mont-Blanc The wellbeing route includes numerous practices which range from whirlpool baths at variable intensities to relaxing baths with still water and sub aqueous music, toning cascades, themed saunas in wooden chalets, aromatic steam baths, a mud-treatment area, colour therapy rooms, aromatherapy rooms, relaxing rooms for admiring the views and much, much more. A corridor connects the 19th century thermal establishment with the Ancien Casinò building, which hosts innovative thermal facilities and an area dedicated to mud-treatments. One turret of the building is dedicated to treatments where expert therapists give relaxing and toning massages for the whole body. An evocative walk in the water takes you to the gardens where three open-air thermal pools have been built, which are the boast of the entire complex. Here, you will be enraptured by the natural setting where you can take a dip in the hot water pools located in the solarium, even when there has been heavy snow and admire the view of the Mont-Blanc Massif. The outside pools offer sunlounger areas with whirlpool baths set to different parts of the body, energising sessions and relaxation areas. Some wooden chalet saunas with views over the Mont-Blanc chain complete the thermal garden. During the day, relaxing events are organised in the saunas and in the steam baths: sessions to learn relaxation techniques and exercises, beauty masks and aromatic peeling treatments.

  • Tor des Geants

    Tor des Geants

The Tor des Géants, the trail run that beats all records: 330 km to run, 24,000 vertical metres to ascend, and 150 hours to do it in. Plus a unique and spectacular setting, the Valle d’Aosta. The Tor des Géants, Valle d’Aosta dialect for “tour of the giants” , is the first and only trail competition run individually over a long distance. It starts and finishes in Courmayeur Mont Blanc but is run on spectacular footpaths throughout the entire Valle d’Aosta, at the foot of the most impressive 4000ers in the Alps. Considered the hardest ultra-trail in the world, the route starts and finishes in Courmayeur Mont Blanc and follows the two High Level Paths (Alte Vie) in the Valle d'Aosta over a total distance of around 330 km (200 miles) with 24,000 metres of vertical ascent. It starts off on the AV no. 2 in the direction of the lower valley then returns by the AV no. 1. There are several rest, food and recovery points along the route. The Tor des Géants is a spectacular ultra-trail competition, unique for its length, the beauty of its landscapes, its difficulty, and the enormous exhilaration felt by everyone taking part, competitors, spectators and volunteers alike.

  • Tot Dret

    Tot Dret

The Tot Dret is the race associated with the hardest and most fascinating trail  race in the world: the Tor des Géants®. A considerable taste of the magical environments that it crosses and its inimitable atmosphere. A trail race of 130 kilometers with 12 thousand meters of ascent starting from Gressoney and ending in Courmayeur. An opportunity that can't be missed for anyone who wants to establish himself or herself in a “brief” endurance trail race, as a step towards more intensive races, and for those who want to enjoy firsthand the landscape on some of the Géants of  the Tor (Rosa, Cervino, and Monte Bianco), the affection of our volunteers, and the hospitality of the villages. This trail race is more than a competitive sports event; it is also a way to promote tourism for the Val  D' Aosta area and the municipalities involved.
